June 2010 Update
Well here we are almost into the middle of June. The garden in doing great. We had some dry weather in May right after we planted everything and we wondered what would survive. The the pesky deer decided to pull out and eat about 30 tomato plants so those had to be replaced and fencing had to be put up. Dallas has been to the Farmers’ market in Stuart, Virginia with the Shiitake mushrooms and has almost sold out of them two weeks in a row. Our strawberries did better than expected this May and hopefully the second crop in August will produce even more. Blackberries are starting to ripen and we have even gotten a few blueberries already. If you have any special requests, drop us a line and we will see if we can help you.
