About Us

We purchased our 48 acres of property in February 1997. After three years of hard work we moved to the property in March of 2000. By that summer we had arranged with one of our neighbors to use his field that adjoined our property to put in our first large garden. By the spring of 2003 we were members of the King Farmers' Market and selling fresh produce as well as jams, jellies and pickles at the King and Danbury Farmers' Markets during the summer months. We are now expanding our gardening area to include a site on our property that was cleared in September of 2008 for the purpose of planting blueberries and blackberries. We also have logs innoculated with Shiitake Mushrooms. Check back often to see what we have new in the garden.

CSA Share Options

The land is cleared and a majority of it has been plowed in preparation of spring planting. Some planting has begun. The greenhouse is brimming with plants ready to go into the garden.

We will be planting the usual fruit and vegetable fare of peas, green beans, corn, tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, onions, summer squash, cucumbers and watermelon, as well as a few surprises. We will also be providing shiitake mushrooms, blackberries, blueberries, fresh herbs, homemade jams and jellies, homemade sweet pickles.

Most of the fruits and vegetables that we are planting are heirloom varieties and definitely have a different taste than what you will find in the grocery store. I have found that these heirloom varieties have a much better taste than anything I have found in the grocery store.
